Campus Walks

Experience the wild side of UCLA

Join our weekly on-campus bird walks

Despite being the smallest UC campus by area and the largest by population, birds still flock through UCLA's gardens, grassy parkland, and remnant habitat. Prior walks have turned up species as varied as Peregrine Falcon, Plumbeous Vireo, Oak Titmouse, Vaux's Swift, Fox Sparrow, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Red-shouldered Hawk, Black-throated Gray Warbler, and Red-breasted Sapsucker.

All walks begin at 8:00 AM, and continue until about 9:30 AM. Everyone is welcome. If you have binoculars we encourage you to bring them, but we do have a limited number available to borrow.

For Winte quarter, these weekly walks are on Fridays.
